Guess who? ME!! I'm back and let me tell you, I completely missed blogging. I'll probably start off slow since I'm thinking of getting another camera solely for blogging. That way, I don't need to upload hundreds of photos from my personal camera. For this post, I have used my iPhone 3GS so please excuse any lack of good quality photos.

Some of you know that I am now a proud new mommy! I had my first born last year in October. It was a very complicated pregnancy towards the end. My son is healthy and such a happy baby.
I love nail art and all things nails. But since I have a baby, it's hard for me to do anything without having my son suddenly need me right when I start doing my nails.
I was able to just paint my nails and that's it. No nail art. =(

So, I figured what better time than to review my new nail polish I purchased at Walgreens. The time of purchase, I didn't know any details about the product. What made me purchase it was the matte color selections they had available that I loved and the name itself. I purchased a total of three.

I purchased Rimmel London's Lasting Finish Pro in Electric Pink.

On one hand I used base coat and the other I didn't. The first time I used it, I didn't know it had a wide brush which I thought it was great. Started to apply the polish and realized that I really didn't need too much polish on the brush, I was able to apply fast and didn't need a second coat because of its consistency. The color is true to what you see and vibrant. It did look evened out on the nail despite having a cracked nail. Drying time was pretty fast (approx 10 minutes I let it dry) since I did use just one coat. I didn't use a top coat (as mentioned before, I have a new baby and was thinking, he will start crying usually when I want to do something with my nails). In a way, I'm glad I didn't apply top coat so that I could truly see how well this product would last. The next day, it didn't look shiny on the hand with no base coat. After three days, I noticed on both hand, that the polish look scratch. For instance, like a phone screen. If not protected you can begin seeing scratches. I'm not sure if it would happen with a top coat. I will try again with a different color and use top coat to see if it makes a difference or not. At five days, the tips begin to come of but not very noticeable. Seven days, chipping on the tips are now visible and a big chip on a thumb nail (side that has base coat). Eleven days later, only visible chips are mostly on the tips but not any where else on the nails besides on one of the thumbnails. Through out the whole 11 days, the hand with no base coat, which was my right hand, was shiny at day one but started to lose shine and become matte. The scratches are most noticeable on the hand with no base. More likely to chip all over the nail if no base coat used .
I do believe a top coat may add more benefit in keeping in more shine. Base coat use is a must! Just one coat is all you need. One coat of the nail polish was enough to apply. I'm actually very impressed. I still have the polish on and it's 14 days now. I tried to p.eel the polish off and it chips off easily on the nails with base than the nails with no base. Color didn't fade at all on hand with base but color faded on hand with no base. More like vibrancy faded as well as shine.
Next color I will apply is Steel Grey. I will compare that with this polish doing the same, one hand base, other hand no base, to see if there's any difference.

Has anyone else tried this polish? Was this helpful? Would you purchase this nail polish?

quick post:
just wanted to share my nail design i had going for St. Patricks day. Very plain and simple, I know, but it's what i could come up with at the moment. Just had things on my mind.
I did free handedly make the four leaf clover. :) I was asked by a few people, so I wanted to make sure i put that out there.

After months, I'm back? With a review too?!?

i am back.. been gone for months and well i felt that i should no longer stray away. i missed blogging but life made a big turn along the way and well.. i had to deal with it.

here i am and with a review. (i'm not use to posting reviews so bare with me :D )

Disclaimer:: the following product was provided by nailene for review purposes only. i have tested/tried out the product and i have provides an honest opinion towards my experience with the product. i am not being paid by nailene nor am i affiliated with nailene.

i'm one who always goes to the nail salon and gets a mani/pedi as well as a full set of french tips. well, i was given the chance to try out Nailene's new so natural perfect fit square shape short length nails.
the last time i remember i wore nails was back in high school ('98) and those suckers hurt my real nails. i felt pain or fakes would fall off quickly.

so here is a before picture. (iphone cam used)
nails look .. ehh.. i had gotten my nails done at the salon and it was time that they came off.

here is what was included in the box
mini file/buffer, instructions, fake nails and nail glue

putting on the nails didn't take too long.
i'm not really use to doing this but it wasn't hard at all.
i began to think that the little tube of glue provided wouldn't be enough for all ten nails.
it could've been just me but i used up all of it. =/
comparing the small tube of glue, it has the same ingredients as krazy glue. lol i had to have back up in case.
i was very impressed once i put the first nail on. i was in love with it already. they looked so very real.. like my own nail.
the nail fit was very snug and comfy.
i didn't feel any discomfort nor did my real nails hurt/feel pain.
i really like the fact that the package provided many different sizes.. with others it would either be too small or too big.
my nails DID NOT fall off. :P hooray! cause my work is brutal on my nails and i feared they would fall off and i'd be embarrassed.

about a week later..

i have to say, if i wanted to get my nails done and didn't want to spend too much at the salon, i would def. purchase nailene and do it myself. this package is less the $7.00 at my local drugstore.
these nails made me feel like i didn't have to commit to a "long term" wear cause taking them off was less painful and easier than salon nails.
the only thing i didn't like was the small tube of glue.. but then again maybe i just used a little too much that i used up the whole tube. or was it meant to be a one time, use it all up tube.

celebrating life

today i am now 27. a reminder to celebrate life. we only live once and most of the time we only get once chance, one shot at some things.

the loss of a friend two months ago (exactly two months today) has made me realize how much more this life is precious to me. yes, i have changed and made some adjustments. let me tell you, it feels great!

we tend to forget to value our life. treasure our moments. it's ok. we are only humans. as long as you get back on track and celebrate life and live with no regrets.

THIS WAS A PERSONAL POST.. just had to share what my heart was feeling.

currently i'm on vacation - a much needed one. ahhh... hope the rest of the week doesn't fly by too fast.

i like to do a little bit of everything on my blog.. but it seems like i'm posting more and more on nails. guess i'm more of an expert in nails than i am with makeup. no worries. i'll be posting up more makeup looks, my shopping goodies and hair related posts. i'm just trying to get back after being away so long. i'm still trying to get it together.

so here i did a little experiment. i need to practice more in order to make it perfect. i'm wondering if this looks tacky (don't judge - these are first attempt photos).
when i say tacky i meant as in once i get it perfect would it look tacky? i'm thinking it's more about getting the right color combinations and blending as much as i can.

fail? should i continue to try and make it right? anyways, here are my three different color combos.

wow, when was the last time that i blogged? so sorry for being away for so long.
just dealing with a lot of personal issues. one being a loss of a friend. =( *deep breath* it's been a month and i'm still in denial that he is gone.
so here i am .. again. this post was meant to be up about a month ago but, again, i had to take care of things first.

so bloggers, been having a very rough week. =( gah.. where is my sunshine? shopping can be considered my temporary haven.. my temporary sunshine thru the clouds. my comfort.

simple yet pretty

here is one of my fave hair styles. it is a simple but lovely look. i don't know, i get complimented often when i do my hair this way. i do three sections but it can be more than three.. it could be done in four, five, six or seven depending on ones liking. the more sections, the smaller they will be of course. to hold the sections, you don't need to use those clips you see in the picture. i actually hold the sections with one bobby pin. reason i put the clips is because at work i move around a lot and just want to make sure the sections stay in place. the rest of the hair can be let all down or pull hair up in a pony tail. hair can be straightened or add some curls.
this style does NOT take long at all. straightening hair takes time to do but for a quick do, i just do the top part in three sections and then the rest of the hair i put in a bun holding it in place with large bobby pins.

will you believe me if i told you this is my hair after 9 hrs?!?
i had just gotten out of work.
impressive!
i just used a bit of sheen spray while twisting to control frizz.
then spritz a bit of my fave tresemme hold spray.

last weeks nail

long time no blogging. sorry lovies. just dealing with some of life's issues and all.
just wanted to post a pic of a nail design i did last week. this here was suppose to be a contest entry but i'm sort of backing out. i really haven't had spare time to do contest entries which is sad cause i want to enter. this one wasn't so easy. it's one of those designs that start off difficult but later you get the hang of it as you go. so yeah, this was a pic of my first attempt.

i have another design done but debating if i should enter it for the contest or just post it up as a tutorial or something. the design is similar to one that i have posted on blog last month i believe but just used some different colors.

i did my cousin's nails yesterday so i wanted to share with you bloggers what i did.
this is just a very simple design. i keep photos of ALL the nail art i have done for myself and my cousin was going thru them. my mom suggested that i do my cousin's nails... so i did. this is the first time i do nail art for someone else other than myself. so yeah, this one here is the one she liked.

my mom is spreading the word about how i do nail art and well now i have people wanting me to do their nails.. is that a good thing? maybe. i mean if i end up getting money for it down the line then yes. the more i practice, the better i'll get and learn more techniques, etc..

i've had a really bad week last week and now i'm even more sad..
my cousin is back in central america. she was staying with us for a month and last night my mom, aunt and i dropped her off at the airport. i wish she didn't have to back home. i miss central america. i hope i can go next year.
i will add photos of the national Guatemalan soccer team (we met at the airport last nite) later when my cousin sends me the photos!
i was all nervous.. them dudes are FINE!!! my cousin is so lucky she got to fly with them. hope her husband doesn't get jealous when he sees the photos. haha. i tell ya, my cousin and i were in heaven!

what's up y'all?!? this here is HEAVY w/ pictures from saturday. i was debating on going to IMATS and whether or not i should go saturday or sunday. i wanted to go on sunday cause i knew it would be less crowded but then i thought EVERYONE is going to be there saturday. my boy gave me that extra push to go since i started backing out. IM SO GLAD I WENT!!!
i took a few pictures since i'm a dunce at times. i carry a camera and tend to forget i have it. i was just going GA-GA all over the makeup. WOW!

i was really looking forward to meeting MACNC40 and yeah!! it's PETRILUDE! when i saw suzy i was all shaking. lol.. i know they are regular people but i am a super shy person at first. i mean they are the people i watch on the net.. to me it's sort of celeb status in our own weird way. haha.
so yeah, i was totally comfortable around josh. i talked with him for a bit. really easy to talk with.

i was so surprised to see KUUIPO1207! i totally did not know how to approach her! i was scared, lol. not in a bad way AGAIN my shyness issue. she is just so sweet, she remembered me from twitter cause of some convo we had over twitter about special k cereal. lol. i was SO HAPPY to have met her!

now this girl here, FAFINETTEX3.. she walked in to the exhibit right when i was getting my wrist band! man she walks FAST! i tried to catch up to her (i was telling her this myself) and was going to say HEY AUBREY but didn't cause she'd think WTH?!? lol. she said i should have. idk.. haha. but i ran into her later. we chat for a bit. at this point i was overwhelmed.. i was shaking. ugh!! i'm weird i know.. but..

ALLTHATGLITTERS21 was there with Aubrey. Blair aka Juicystar07 was behind Elle but i was in the zone i left her out! IM SO MEAN!!! i'm sorry i was so so nervous. i was talking to elle and stopped for a minute and i said god im so nervous i think i could cry. lol. i must say talking to elle almost felt like her and i already knew each other cause i really had fun talkin with her. easy to talk to. beautiful personality. look it man im CHEESIN' it big here!

it was so great to have met him!

it seemed that when lauren met/ran into pursebuzz,enkore,temptalia (which i forgot to take pic with! WTF?!)..this gal here, HERROYALPOSHNESS, was with them and well they seemed to know her. i was like ???
but i got to talk to her and well she is such a doll! she was so shy it was cute. let me add BRAVE for flying solo from the UK just to come for IMATs. my hero there!
i'm so glad i got to meet you and exchanged info. i definitely can't wait to keep in touch with you.

every guru that i met were so wonderful but my highlight was ITSJUDYTIME!
i was jumping for joy inside! cool thing, i wasn't the only one nervous.. she was too so i was told.
wow!! she was also another girl who was easy to talk to. wow, sweetest girl ever! she was with her friend, aka her entourage hehe. i really had fun chatting with her. wow, i'm still in that AMAZED zone.

i witnessed a guru meeting another guru. it was so awesome and cute. i swear.. lauren, judy, judy's friend and i ended up talking away. i loved it.

finally i got to meet ANHADOESMAKEUP for the very first time.
you and lauren are like partners in makeup crime. haha. i kid.
yeah, she is even more gorgeous in person. sweet girl. yeah, i was also nervous with her.
i really want anha at my shoot.. i aleady let her know. =D

so there it is. for me, it was such a wonderful and amazing experience that i know i will truly carry with me forever. it was overwhelming for me cause there was so much going on.. the booths, the crowd, the gurus!!! it was all too much but i took it in... absorbed it all. i wasn't going to cry but yeah i was shaking cause of my damn shyness and getting all nervous.
i saw familiar faces but wasn't sure where i have seen them from.
i missed the opportunity of meeting or taking pictures with five people (blogger/guru) including Linda from MYPRETTYPINKBOX and Bryani aka STATUSMODE.
i am ready for next year. will you be there?

ah..finally a day off! i've been working 7 days straight! off today, back on the grind tomorrow for another 7 day streak!

...well this ball of cuteness FINALLY has a name! it's name is POCKET. why? cause it's small enough to fit in a pocket. THANK YOU L (LADYLONLINE) for the name. the boy actually agreed to that name. L suggested a few names and thru the process we were being silly. she had me laughing hard that I had tears coming out of one flippin' eye! she even suggested QTip. lol. cute. i was coming up with weird ones like flea, whisker,button, zinger..etc..
to the few ladies who were kind to suggest, thank you so much. all names were cute but i had to come in an agreement with the boy. i really appreciate all the feedback. thank you. <3

so on with the blog title..we got the what name done.. but what did i fail?!?
my flippin NOTW!!! i should've taken a before picture but i was rushing to get ready for work. the ones you view below are the after.
i used glitter polish as the base (besides clear base coat), real dried flowers, and clear top coat w/ bonder.
i didn't give nails sufficient time to dry that i just hopped in the shower and my damn flowers just got too wet. the yellow ones weren't yellow anymore. for now on if i use yellow im using dark polish base. the purple one wasn't bad at all cause the color stayed vibrant.

SEE WHAT I MEAN?!? FAILED!! i will attempt this again. this time i'll give plenty of time as in hours before soaking hands in water.
next post i'll see if i can pop a pic or two of my dried flower collection.

hey everyone! not beauty/fashion related but just wanted to share a new member of my family..

meet the new dwarf rabbit.

i still don't have a name for it and it's been about three days now..
this isn't the only pet i have, i also have a cat (his name is guppy). i'll post photos of guppy another time. i promise as well as NEW and better photos of the rabbit.

ain't it the cutest? it is unbelievably super soft and so well behaved. though i hate that it chews everything in its path.
i hear i can potty train it. awesome.

moisture with a touch of pure natural

i had to make a run to the drugstore because i ran out of moisturizing face cream. i decided to try out nivea's soft moisturizer. ever since i was a kid i ALWAYS used the blue nivea face cream.. you all know which one right? it's the same packaging as the white one you see below but it's color is blue instead of white.

so here is my view on this nivea soft based on MY experience with it and may not have same results with everyone else so if you do decide to try, it is at your own "risk". =D -

i actually like it as much as the blue nivea. this soft nivea isn't so "greasy" and yes it does absorb quickly as it claims. right away my skin felt very soft through out the day. i'm not sure if it's just me but towards the end of the day my skin felt a tad bit dry but not in a bad way. as for the blue nivea, i kind of sweat a little more on the face during the day. this one, can't remember that i did so i guess that's good.
would i use it again? for sure! i'm good with this one or the regular nivea.

ALSO, i bought their new gloss *caregloss & shine in pure natural* and i can say i'm impressed with it. i can use it alone (since it already has some shine to it) or to prime lips and/or apply over other lip products. for me this is just as good as carmex.. i think this helped me from getting dry lips from lipsticks/glosses.
what i do want to know, is it good like carmex when it comes to dry, cracked lips? will it heal fast like carmex? that i don't know. maybe on my day off from work i'll let my poor lips suffer and try this nivea thing and see if it works.
flavor? i don't taste it at all.. i mean it's nothing weird or anything. i would certainly purchase this again. my lips may have a problem.. carmex has competition.. hahaa!!

wanted to share what i did yesterday. i was at my boy's house playing the roll of bob the builder/martha stewart-ish.. uh yyyyeaaahh.. so anyways..
first picture you see is his room with a lamp that's circled. i bought that for him at ikea ($9.99 u.s.). it has two lamps in one. click photo to enlarge if ya like.

second one here, that's his new bed.. i think i did 65% of the work, yep! he bought the bed frame and the mattress. i bought him that rug too, japanese import and thick, great material. so cushiony. i organized his room oh and helped him put up new curtains.

last but not least, wanted to share a picture of one of my favorite pairs of shoes.. i heart my madden girl!!

so you might be thinking, "wtf is up with the title?" - sorry about my title. it was earthquake inspired. last night there was a 4.7 magnitude quake which was centered in Lennox, CA. i live and work approx. 6-8 miles from Lennox. YEAH! PRETTY CLOSE! i was at work (nights suck) and well it was the first time ever in my life to be caught up at work during a quake. i've been feeling aftershocks, even while doing this blog entry. i sort of enjoy the quakes, i'm weird but HEY! i have to deal with them. i mean i do live in quake country.
so here is a photo of me at work right after the quake:

so i'm thinking, i shouldn't say NOTD.. it is actually more like NOTW(eek) cause i mean i do paint my nails and leave them on for about 5days anyway. not just for 1 day.
so yeah.. i guess these here is my NOTW!
using 3 polishes that i recently purchased (haul posted previously to this one)

i sort of rushed this nail design =( but it looks good. i love the colors and very happy that they all combined well. i was worried one might be off or too much for the other.

so just a refresher, i used lubu heels (on tip, dots,swirly), awakening (base color), and art deco in glittery pink.

mz.cyn.dez : naked pigment is to die for. totally worth the $$ for a whole jar. it's the most beautiful fleshy toned color w/ pink almost copperish sparkle to it. in my opinion, many shadows can be well combined w/ this pigment. for a beginner using pigments, i find it easy to use. =D

izumi : glad to know you think notd's are cool. i'm no pro but i'm sure one day you'll be able to get that polish to stay on for two days at least! <3

tammy : no nail polish pens! all free lance w/ a stripping (i think that's what it's called) brush. i wanted to buy a pen but w/ a brush i can mix polishes. idk. =D i'm still mastering designs.

once i got it from sonya i just had to use it right away.

i received this prize package on monday from the lovely NatNeagle and got excited about it even thru my current *blues*. needed a distraction and this was it.

Nat needed name suggestions for her cute and beautiful flower hair clips (which she creates) and decided to make it into a contest. talk about unique, that was totally a unique contest (in my opinion) and the winner would get a flower or two that she made.
i took the chance and submitted some names for her.
come to find out the name i suggested was one that many have favorited (or liked) and yes i won.

i just needed an excuse to use this polish again so i created this lovely design. i freakin' love it.

i don't know if you can notice, but the color of the polish tends to change in every picture.
don't know if that is a good thing.

TEMPEST from China Glaze

It's so funny... i remember seeing china glaze at sally's and said to myself... this nail polish is gonna boom in the beauty world. guess what? it did!!! it's everywhere on blogger and youtube.
im so psychic, want a reading? haha. no, i can't read the future.

anyways, let me tell you ladies, i am in LOVE with china glaze and my ultimate fave ..which was so hard to pick.. well currently my fave TEMPEST! the color builds up the more you add. it can be sheer with one coat .. or darker with two more coats.

I am just super happy that i just had to use the color again.
I usually switch colors up every week, but...
i used a different design. thats my excuse to use it again.

I am thanking my boyfriend for this. He was the one that picked it for me. poor thing, i always have him pick things out when i can't decide but he was drawn to the color. (he is straight.. lol.. he hates to see me so indecisive so he helps me pick)

so that up there is my fave. it looks different all the time in pictures.

just wanted to share one of my amazing moments that i have experienced in my life so far.
at age 23, i didn't expect to travel anywhere in the world yet and alone (meaning no family).
i was blessed with the opportunity to visit thailand and i am happy that i accepted the chance.

REASON WHY I DID THIS POST?
well, in case you haven't noticed - my music player contains asian music... japanese that is.
but how does japanese music have anything to do with thailand?
just the fact that i was in asia and of course japan is in asia DUH!
i don't know. ayumi's song just makes me reminisce my trip from boarding the plane in the states to stepping out in bangkok's aiport at 3am and the weather over 70 degrees.
i will soon travel to asia and if i don't visit thailand ever again in my life...
well, all i have to say is that i left a piece of my heart there.
when things were so hopeless for me that year, that trip made me realize life is too precious.
i just can't let it slip by me and enjoy wonders.. that there is more to life than what i think.

i loved everything there.
scenery.food.the locals.the tours.culture.
EVERYTHING.
i can go on and on...
what impacted my heart was standing on the shores where people lost their lives because of the tsunami disaster. never ever did i think i'd visit that country and yet after such a devastating event.
the thai new year was def the best time to have been there. throwing water to the locals and tourists. it was just so welcoming.
fed fish bread in the sea. that was fun.i grabbed one while snorkeling and moved him in the water like a toy car (i was gentle i was just curious).
the fish sucked on me weird like a baby w/ no teeth.
aahhh... thailand i miss thee..

in the future i'll prob post other pics from this trip.
you should listen to ayumi's song from my music player above while viewing the pics.
i dont know... to set the mood. ahahaa.

well i did some online shopping so here is the latest that arrived in to my home

i seriously disliked how my box looked. it seemed like it was packed all tacky. i dont know, i just let it go.
i ordered with standard delivery and got it in about six days.

ok so these boots, now that i got them i dont know if i like them. what the heck?!?
and i honestly thought i was buying black ones. crap! yeah i know i shouldve double checked. blah blah. whats done is done.
maybe i need to give it a chance and wear them out. how about with some nice skinny jeans or black tights? perfect for a night out.
these shoes cost a little over $40 dollars i got them for about $6.
yeah, i dont mind spending money but theres nothing wrong with saving money too.

so, what do you think?
still wondering if i like them... they look too brown but its the flash. they are darker looking.

got some knee high socks... they sort of look like leg warmers
also got a hinged wallet.
what i really want is a sapphire blue Abas. but this one here will do in the meantime.

thanks to the lovely leina, i ended up buying a faux fur print purse.
this was on sale at tilly's website.
i was debating whether to get it or not since the picture they had online made it look unflattering.. but i am very happy i got it. i use it everyday now. :D
i should get the black and white prints.
so i selected standard delivery and got it in two days.

ok, so i did a review on rohto eye drops here in my blog (peep it if you haven't) and it wouldnt have been possible if it wasnt for the lovely pam (xppinkx). she helped me find it (which reason why i couldnt find it, i was spelling it wrong the whole time).
since she helped me find it, i bought some for my bf, myself, extra one for i dont know why, and one for pam and sent it her way. she is such a doll... just for sending some sugar her way she sent one my way as well.

ok, did i say blind swap?
YeS, i did.

i'm certain many of you are familiar with swaps.
for those who don't know, basically it is like a trade.
example:
say you have a 2/3 jar full of mac pigment and you don't want it anymore.
someone else (on blogger or twitter or makeupalley or wherever) might want it and they'll swap it with something you want or possibly they have something you'd like to have... therefore you and the other person swap.
got it? i hope so cause i tried to paint a pic here.

ANYWAYS... my lovely Rani and I had our first Blind Swap. how did it get started?
while on twitter Rani mentioned she was going shopping. later on i asked her jokingly what she got for me... from there we ended up agreeing on sending each other a pack with a surprise.
this here... well it's my love pack sent from the panhandle state with LOTS OF LOVE!

OH MY ROHTO!!!

so this is what i got over the weekend! finally! rohto!
so what is rohto and the difference from our u.s. eye drops?
rohto has been called the "hard minty eye drops" which are hard to get in the u.s.
i do have to agree, they are minty. no! they're not flavored and you can't taste it...
but it's all in the sensation of it all when it's all on your precious eyes.

when i first placed drops in my eyes, i thought i smelled the scent of mint.
then a few seconds after i felt the minty-ness. i'm going to be honest it did burn.
but the burn was a good feeling burn. sounds weird, i know.
no worries, the burning buzz goes away. then it just felt like my eyes were full of tears.
like i would close my eyes shut but the "tears" just wouldn't run.

**comparing it w/ visine**
rohto's packaging looks so much fun than visine's
people get so curious about rohto when they see it.
i feel so unfaithful to visine.
the visine you see here, i do like because it more natural than the others
as well as it's more gentle and doesn't sting.

**nozzle**
rohto's nozzle is so much shorter but still easy to use.
visine's nozzle gets smaller at the top.
oh, with rohto there's no need to screw the cap. just twist and lock. very simple.

does it feel good?! hell yes!!!
the only thing about the drops is that your eyes have to get use to the minty feeling.
for a minute i was wondering if it was suppose to feel minty and got worried.
yes, it is suppose to be minty because these drops are cooling drops.
contains :

naphazoline hydrochloride 0.012% (redness reliever) polysorbate 80 0.2% (lubricant)

when did i use the drops?
i'm a gamer girl and played for a long while, hadn't had much sleep.
so i thought what better time than to try it now!
i couldn't find the right words to describe how amazing the minty feeling was.
SHA SHAAAAH!!!
i was enjoying it.
these drops can totally take the edge off when you're sleepy.
not only that, when you've been staring at the computer for a long time.
maybe when you first wake up in the morning? yes.

so what do you think? sounds different from the drops you use?

my conclusion:
this "minty" product will wake your eyes up!
the minty feeling can be intense but it is one that feels sooooooo good!
this product does accomplish what the manufacturer claims.
try it for yourself and be the judge.

pros:
*unusual minty feeling... imagine altoids but for your eyes..
it's not bad trust me on this. it feels good.
*makes the eyes feel wet

cons:
*some people may feel it more intense than others
*some people will not like this "minty" feeling (because of reason above)
*some might get redness in there eyes which fades slowly
*can't use them if you have contacts. have to remove them before putting in drops.
then you'd have to wait at least 15mins before putting contacts on again.

Hey everyone! Guess what? Went shopping yesterday!!!
Yup, so I went to the mall to pick up one thing and I ended up buying a lot.
It always happens to me.
First of all, I resisted as much as I could in buying HK at MAC. I did pretty good.
But I just had to get my hands on a blush at least just for the compact itself,
also because I got so interested in getting Tippy cause I love pink blushes...
well I love all blushes!
They did have that available and I got that as well as carbon e/s.

So then on I started to walk around toward my eyebrow specialist... I find out theyre not there anymore!
WTF!!! I blame the construction going on at the mall that everyone is moving.
DAMN IT! I trusted her in doing my brows and now I don't know what to do!
She knew my name and everything. She did my brows for six years!
UGH! Don't worry I'll find her.
Anyways, stopped by a beauty store.
YIKES! Everything you see here was on clearance. They too were closing down and moving.
Guess what?! They were all A DOLLAR!!!

That's right folks, it was all a DOLLAR!!

SOOOOOO... I HAD to stop by Victoria's Secret cause that's one of my fave stores...
man I could buy everything that they have there!!

I'm debating on whether I should go back and get more or not.
If I do I'll also end up buying other things as well!! AHHHH!!!

here we go.

12.. i get about three to ten paper cuts a week at work. :( i'm so serious...

13.. first time i got a job i was 19 years old.

There are many wonderful people out there who have a special talent in make up art.
But I just have to shine the spotlight on Lauren here because I personally know her, she has done my make up a few times already, and I can totally vouch for her wonderful work.

I am truly her number one fan!
I am wondering if she thinks I am becoming obsessed with her and will end up going all crazy! Hahah!
Anyways, Lauren is a professional make up artist (freelance). Her work is fabulously amazing working in Southern California.
I am very honored to have her as my make up artist and I am so glad to have contacted her as well.

Lauren got started doing make up back in 2004 doing challenges from make up groups on myspace.com and she started getting into make up because of all the compliments and encouraging words she began receiving. Later, Lauren became professional in 2005.
Slowly but surely, Lauren was beginning to get noticed and now has over 60,000 supporters and fans of her work on myspace. Just about a year ago, she created a youtube account has posts on make up tutorials. And you know what?!? She is now making history... dreams are coming true!
Lauren recently was featured in Illusion Magazine, based in the U.K., which gets published three times a year and contains many photos of makeup artists around the world as well as articles and a few how-to's.
I am really proud of Lauren and extremely happy that things are going well for her. One of the sweetest and most hard working person I've ever met... she truly deserves this and it's only the beginning.

i used l'oreal hip duo shadows in:
flare (404) and flamboyant (538)

they are my favorites.
i just purchased rimmel's new cool matte mousse foundation and using it as my primer for eyeshadows.
and you know what?
i love it! i prefer it better than using mac's shadesticks as my base.
i will post a review later on for rimmel's mousse foundation.
even better, i'll post pics of all my rimmel products and my personal opinion/review as well.
i totally love rimmel's products.
anyways, i am still having some issues with getting good quality photos.
the colors look so washed off but believe me, the colors are beautiful for everyday looks.

This was actually yesterday's look but I was in a rush and didn't have time to upload online.
I just basically matched my eyeshadow with my clothes.
I was wearing a black sweater with gold letters. :D
Used a little bit of a copper color for the crease.
It looks smokey but suitable for day wear. :)
I'm sorry but my cameral isn't making my colors any justice. :(

YES! I finally submitted my entry for loveblueroses!
Editing a video is not fun for me at all. I am really not use to my edit program!
Practice makes perfect right?
So yes, I did a video tutorial for my blue shadow look and I, once again, am so happy with the outcome. Especially at the fact that I used the blue colors for the very first time AND what I recorded was my first time applying the makeup.
I didn't practice first... IMPRESSIVE LISI!!! yes. I am so impressed with myself.

well, i am now challenging myself... actually i am entering another contest.
i have to show my everyday look, then i have to challenge myself into doing a look i haven't done before.
i am so down to try a blue color shadow look.
i am always afraid to try blue. blue is such a bold move.
but i am going to do it.
problem is, my camera. i have a bad color camera. i feel like it doesn't really capture the best quality. i have my canon but i am not sure i can record video. i am sure i can.
i will figure out a way to tweak my laptop cam.
or my sony cam.
so frustrating.

okay so i entered this contest for StyleGanji.
my first contest entry ever online.
the challenge?
japanese style makeup.
i've seen so many japanese styles. so which one is it really japanese?
well i got inspired by this photo:
i mean the eye colors are fab.
so this helped me get an idea of what i could do. i guess this is the modern japanese look right?
how did it turn out?

well you be the judge.
i had a lot of fun.
whether I win or lose, I am happy that I did this.
I am up for a challenge and this was one for me.
growing up I had japanese influences.
I don't think makeup was involved so much. More like the culture, traditions, and landscapes.

How to: remove & clean false lashes

so i have been wanting to find a good way to remove lashes... most of the time it has been easy for me to remove then, but not too long ago it kind of hurt a bit. i was saying to myself 'there has to be a way to make it less painful and much more easier while still keeping the falsies shape'.
so here is one method that i'm hoping would work for everyone.
use extra virgin olive oil.
first take a qtip and make sure to put a bit of the olive oil on it. if you soak up the qtip it might get messy.
now take that qtip and apply along where the false lash line is, carefully avoiding your eye as much as you can. wait a few minutes for the oil to sit. so after a few minutes, begin pulling the false lash starting from the outer side.
this olive oil method should help make the false lash come off easy. if necessary, you may put a little more oil on the false lash line incase that it's not coming off easy. also, this method should help to keep the falsies shape! i know i'm willing to try a method if that'll save me some money! right?

to clean: get a clean container and fill it up with some water (soapy water) and place your false lashes in the cotainer to soak (in the soapy water) for a little bit. soaking the lash makes the glue soft and less sticky enough so it wont ruin and/or remove any hair.
now take the false lashes out. gently begin to pull off the glue from the lash bone. hold the lash hairs carefully while removing the glue. a tweezer might help get that glue off or simply rub or wipe off with a tissue (rubbing/wiping away from the false lash hair).
after removing all the glue just place them on a towel to dry. make sure to groom the falsies with a comb before putting away in its packaging.

well, that's it and i hope that it will help!
you can do the oil method if you need to or just simply follow the cleaning steps or vice versa.
