Simple Green .. no not the cleaner..

quick post:
just wanted to share my nail design i had going for St. Patricks day. Very plain and simple, I know, but it's what i could come up with at the moment. Just had things on my mind.
I did free handedly make the four leaf clover. :) I was asked by a few people, so I wanted to make sure i put that out there.

Products:
Dark green (stripes,clover) - Sinful Colors in San Francisco
Glitter polish (all-over nail color) China Glaze in Sour Apple
Base Coat - Orly
Top Coat - Nailene Acrylic Strong

I'm in the process of creating some nail designs, one including a Prince theme.. hope to get that up as soon as I get a new camera. :)
Have any idea for me to try (free hand) let me know :)

i freakin' love this. only in JP! i def don't see this around out here in my fave japanese stores.
it tastes so much like strawberries! REAL strawberry flavor. the scent is just like the real deal too. i haven't stopped using it ever since i opened it up the day i received it.

i got madd love for her and i just have to say.. THANKS L. you're amazing. keep doing what you're doing. i support ya 100%. ;) you inspire me to post up my photography.. still debating if i should.. but it would be nice wouldn't it? glad i've stumbled across ya.. i can go on and on about you.. you're just amazing with a big caring heart.

After months, I'm back? With a review too?!?

i am back.. been gone for months and well i felt that i should no longer stray away. i missed blogging but life made a big turn along the way and well.. i had to deal with it.

here i am and with a review. (i'm not use to posting reviews so bare with me :D )

i'm one who always goes to the nail salon and gets a mani/pedi as well as a full set of french tips. well, i was given the chance to try out Nailene's new so natural perfect fit square shape short length nails.
the last time i remember i wore nails was back in high school ('98) and those suckers hurt my real nails. i felt pain or fakes would fall off quickly.

so here is a before picture. (iphone cam used)
nails look .. ehh.. i had gotten my nails done at the salon and it was time that they came off.

here is what was included in the box
mini file/buffer, instructions, fake nails and nail glue

putting on the nails didn't take too long.
i'm not really use to doing this but it wasn't hard at all.
i began to think that the little tube of glue provided wouldn't be enough for all ten nails.
it could've been just me but i used up all of it. =/
comparing the small tube of glue, it has the same ingredients as krazy glue. lol i had to have back up in case.
i was very impressed once i put the first nail on. i was in love with it already. they looked so very real.. like my own nail.
the nail fit was very snug and comfy.
i didn't feel any discomfort nor did my real nails hurt/feel pain.
i really like the fact that the package provided many different sizes.. with others it would either be too small or too big.
my nails DID NOT fall off. :P hooray! cause my work is brutal on my nails and i feared they would fall off and i'd be embarrassed.

about a week later..

i have to say, if i wanted to get my nails done and didn't want to spend too much at the salon, i would def. purchase nailene and do it myself. this package is less the $7.00 at my local drugstore.
these nails made me feel like i didn't have to commit to a "long term" wear cause taking them off was less painful and easier than salon nails.
the only thing i didn't like was the small tube of glue.. but then again maybe i just used a little too much that i used up the whole tube. or was it meant to be a one time, use it all up tube.

celebrating life

today i am now 27. a reminder to celebrate life. we only live once and most of the time we only get once chance, one shot at some things.

the loss of a friend two months ago (exactly two months today) has made me realize how much more this life is precious to me. yes, i have changed and made some adjustments. let me tell you, it feels great!

we tend to forget to value our life. treasure our moments. it's ok. we are only humans. as long as you get back on track and celebrate life and live with no regrets.

THIS WAS A PERSONAL POST.. just had to share what my heart was feeling.

currently i'm on vacation - a much needed one. ahhh... hope the rest of the week doesn't fly by too fast.

ND fail?

i like to do a little bit of everything on my blog.. but it seems like i'm posting more and more on nails. guess i'm more of an expert in nails than i am with makeup. no worries. i'll be posting up more makeup looks, my shopping goodies and hair related posts. i'm just trying to get back after being away so long. i'm still trying to get it together.

so here i did a little experiment. i need to practice more in order to make it perfect. i'm wondering if this looks tacky (don't judge - these are first attempt photos).
when i say tacky i meant as in once i get it perfect would it look tacky? i'm thinking it's more about getting the right color combinations and blending as much as i can.

fail? should i continue to try and make it right? anyways, here are my three different color combos.

wow, when was the last time that i blogged? so sorry for being away for so long.
just dealing with a lot of personal issues. one being a loss of a friend. =( *deep breath* it's been a month and i'm still in denial that he is gone.
so here i am .. again. this post was meant to be up about a month ago but, again, i had to take care of things first.
i did some shopping at StatusGlam.com again. Unfortunately some of the items i wanted were out of stock.
i've been meaning to do a haul video but just haven't been able to.

i meant to take a picture of me wearing the bracelet so you can see the size of it! it is BIG!! =) but so gorgeous.
the panda charm was right on my phone the same day i received it! it's beautiful.

just to show you, here is a photo of me wearing one of the necklaces for the first time.
this was at a company picnic.. that would explain why i have my face painted. i was just being a good sport.
